Denise Marie Martin's Biography

6V4A9553-Edit.jpg

Denise-Marie Martin’s obsessive love affair with books began early in life. At the age of seven, she read and wrote reports on fifty-eight books in one week during a summer reading program. (Yes, one week—not a typo.) This, her first claim to fame, earned her a write-up in the local newspaper.

Many years later, now retired from a career in science, she has penned her debut novel, freeing a story that has rolled around in her head for years.

After living in California and Tennessee, Denise-Marie and her husband retired to the Pacific Northwest. A native Washingtonian, Denise-Marie is a wife, mother, grandmother, and practicing Roman Catholic.  Two adorable Ragamuffins cats are her devoted writing companions.
